Unit TypesEdit

  • Pikeman: The Pikeman is your basic melee infantry unit. They can be purchased from the Tavern for 3 gold, 1 plain food, and 1 population. Pikemen can also be purchaced at the Stronghold for 1 gold, 1 weapon, and 1 population. Pikemen are very good for being cheap and availible early in the game. Great for taking out neutral towns without walls. Mid-to-Late game they become much less valuable as Cavaliers are much more powerful in melee fights.
  • Musketeer: The Musketeer is your basic range infantry unit. They can be purchased from the Tavern for 4 gold, 1 fancy food, and 1 population. Musketeers can also be purchaced at the Stronghold for 1 coal, 1 gold, 1 weapon and 1 population. Musketeers are great for early game range firepower, as well as mid-to-late game support. Prior to having cannons, they are the only units able to attack fortified cities.
  • Cavalier: These are the advanced melee cavalry unit. They can be purchased from a level 2 or 3 Stronghold for 2 gold, 1 horse, 1 weapon, 1 fancy food, and 1 population and make up the majority of melee fighting power in mid-to-late game armies.
  • Cannon: These are the advanced range artillery unit. They can be purchased from a fully upgraded Stronghold for 1 coal, 2 gold, 2 weapons, 2 wheels, 1 fancy food, and 2 population and make up the primary 'fortification fighting power' in mid-to-late game armies.
  • Standard Bearer: The Standard Bearer does not fight directly, but rather gives a combat bonus to all units in the army they are attached to. Only one Standard Bearer can be added to an army. They can be purchased from the fully upgraded Stronghold for 1 wood, 1 iron bar, 10 gold and 1 population.
